does anyone know if oracle10gR1 is working on OpenSuse11 ?
I can't find anything about it on the internet.

Skip 10gR1 , and go for 10gR2 instead.

The main problem with 10gR1 is that it is end of life. Premier Support for it will end on 31 January 2009. So, rather go for 10gR2, or even better, 11g.

i try to install 10r2 bit it hangs at 65% with the error
INFO: Exception thrown from action: make
Exception Name: MakefileException
Exception String: Error in invoking target 'collector' of makefile '/work1/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/db_1/sysman/lib/ins_emdb.mk'.

any suggestions?
