Hi senthil,
I got your message. can u give me the
details about script i.e. what should I
write in the script.Because I tried this
solution once but root doesn't have authority
to run dbstart script.what can I do for that?
so please try to give me the details about
script.

Create a shell script in either /etc/rc2.d or /etc/rc3.d directory and the content should look like...

ORA_USER=oracle
ORA_HOME=/export/home/oracle/product/8.1.7
su - $ORA_USER -c $ORA_HOME/bin/dbstart
