I am new to Oracle. I installed Oracle 8i on Windows 2000 client.
After installation I tried to enter into SQL Plus. It asks for user name, password, host string. I am not aware of this informations.
My friend said default user name is "scot" and password is "tiger". Host string will be blank.
But I tried with these informations but it is giving error like
"ORA-12638: Credential retrieval failed"
I want your help. Please tell me what is the default username, password, host string.
Further please tell me, Does Oracle 8i with Windows 2000 Profesional?
