Hi,

Can somebody please help me with the insert statement problem.

I'm doing an insert into a x table selecting from another y table and it returns with an error:

ORA-01401: inserted value too large for column

I tried to verify and map the datatypes of both the tables, but I'm not able to figure out as to for which column it is complaining about.

Is there any way where I could detect this.

Please help me with this problem for its very urgent !!

The value u are passing to first table coloumn is bigger than the length of ur first table field.so check for it.

The problem may be in character set you're using for your database. I don't know what is character set in your database?
