I have installed Oracle 8(Enterprise Edition)in a Win NT system. Now in the Server Manager prompt, when I am issuing the command:
connect sys/change_on_install as SYSDBA
it is giving insufficient priviledges. But if i will issue the command:
connect sys/change_on_install then it is going through. But then it will not allowing me to STARTUP or SHUTDOWN the database.I want to know that, how to enable the SYSDBA/SYSOPER role.

Waiting for your earliest reply.

With regards,

Arindam Malakar.
