Hello Group:
I'm trying to make a web interface to some data tables.
Sounds like it should be easy... <g>
The plan is to have the JSP page query the Oracle database on loading to pre-select the correct pull-down element in an HTML Form Select as well as populating the text fields.
This works. I can read the numeric value from the database, use a Javabean to convert that number into the appropriate index number, then use javascript to select the index of that form element.
The problem lies in that when I select any value from the pull down (including leaving it where it was) and submit the form, the variable initialization gets written to the database, not the selected value.
Anyone having similar experience want to discuss this?
Regards,
Ron
