How can I update multiple values in a table in one udpate statement.

Ex: Update all occurences of "North West" with "NW'
"North East" with "NE"
"South" with "S"
"North" with "N" etc....

Please Help !!

Hi,

Can somebody please help me out with this. It's very urgent !!!!

How can I update multiple values in a table in one udpate statement.
Ex: Update all occurences of "North West" with "NW'
"North East" with "NE"
"South" with "S"
"North" with "N" etc....

By using Decode statement in Update u can update
Ex:-
Update table_name
Set Column =Decode(Column,'North West','NW','North East','NE'..)
