Hi,
I also got the same problem first. I am confussed with this problem. After that i realised I installed oracle 8 in windows 98.
windows NT,2000 will only support object type.
so you installed in which platform?

Hi priyadarshini,
You can't create object in oracle 8 in
NT workstation, where u can create it in NT
server. But if you have 8i u can create object
in both server and workstation.
