Does anyone know if SQLPLUS is restricted in any way in the manner that it runs a command file?. I have a procedure stored in the database called as part of a script attempting a random selection & contained in a file. Executed with the START command from within SQLPLUS all is fine(differing selections from a table) but when executed as SQLPLUS user/passwd@database commandfile, a consistent result is achieved. This is not a cache problem as switching off the PC does not affect the results.
