Hi,
I did increase from 100 to 200 when I got the message maximum number of processes (100) exceeded,
how many number of prosesses can I increase to once it is max on 200 also.

before you just increase this, you should have a clearly reasoned idea of the number of connections you expect. There are application errors which can cause this, like an application server having connection pooling which is trying to connect with the wrong user/pass at frequent intervals. The refused connections can take a while to die.

Run something like this to see who's where all the connections are made:

SELECT s.username "User Name",
s.osuser "OS User",
s.status "Status",
lockwait "Lock Wait",
s.program "Program",
s.machine "Machine",
s.logon_time "Connect Time",
p.program "P Program",
s.process "Process",
p.spid, p.pid, s.serial#, si.sid
FROM sys.v_$sess_io si, sys.v_$session s, sys.v_$process p
WHERE s.username IS NOT NULL AND
si.sid(+)=s.sid
AND p.addr(+)=s.paddr
ORDER BY status
