When I run the sqlldr80 utility on Windows NT Server 4.0 to populate an Oracle database on AIX, the utility
imports the data into the Oracle database and then hangs. I run this utility from a Delphi 4.0 application which then hangs because the sqlldr80 utility does not exit properly. Anyone else experienced a similar problem - please help!!!

I am seeing this problem on Windows 2000. Everytime I run SqlLdr80, after it actually commits all work, etc... it just does not return. This is a big problem for me as I'm calling it from inside of a JAVA VM... I verified it is a SQLLDR80 problem by running same at command line... it just hangs instead of cleanly exiting. Same exact tests work fine from NT - so this is a Win2000 issue. Anyone at Oracle monitor this forum?

Hi Julian. I have just read ur mail regarding SQL Loader that hangs. And I share the same problem here.
It successfully loads the data into the database however it does not exit properly. Just wondering
if you have already figured out what causes it. Can't it really be run on Windows NT Server 4.0? And
does Novell client software have something to do with this?

I tried to bypass Novell Client software, however my SQL Loader still encountered "hanging". Hence, I conclude it has nothing to do with my problem. Could you please give me the version of your SQL Loader and Service Pack? Thanks.
