Well gentleman, I could not reply your question but I feel that you are the best person who can solve my problem. I tried to import an oracle 7.3 database into oracle 8.0 using import/export, but the size of one tablespace while importing increases abruptly. e.g.exported oracle 7.3 tablespace size was 2GB and while importing the same the size increasing above 4GB. I am working on NT with NTFS file system.
