I need to automate the client installation for Oracle8 to make redistribution easier. We are using VB to connect to Oracle8 on NT, but we do not want to have 2 separate installs on each client machine. Automating the client install and automatically configuring a NET8 service is the ideal solution. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi,
make a demoinstall and copy the hole Oracle-Directory plus the exportet registry-branch of
hkeylocalmachine/software/oracle.
Copy it to the client machines and import the exported Registry-stuff. thats it !
