My DBSNMP agent is failing to start on Oracle 8.1.5 on Solaris 7 (11/99 FCS). Basically it starts only one background process. It also gives me the following error.
Tcl_RegisterChannel: Duplicate channel names
When I cleanup all the parameter files and log file etc. sometime it starts. This is also not always. (i.e snmp_ro.ora, snmp_rw.ora, dbsnmp.ver, pkgIndex.tcl are some of these files)
Any one encountered this before? Any work arounds?
