Hi,
Whenever I try and install the downloaded version of 8i for 98 the Oracle Universal Installer complains that JRE 1.1.7 or higher is not installed in bin/.
I have downloaded and installed 1.1.8 to the default directories, and I have tried reinstalling to the path shown above. I cannot get personal 8i on windows 98 installed because of this problem.
Has anyone had similar problems ?
Does anyone have a solution please ?
Obtaining the CD for this in the UK is near impossible.
This is the only method available to me.
