I need to automate the client installation for Oracle8 to make redistribution easier. We are using VB to connect to Oracle8 on NT, but we do not want to have 2 separate installs on each client machine. Automating the client install and automatically configuring a NET8 service is the ideal solution. Does anyone have any suggestions?

installation: using setup with a response-file.
net8-configuration: copy sqlnet.ora und tnsnames.ora from a server to the client via a batch.
