I'm an Oracle beginner faced with an error code of ORA-1019, for which I'm looking for assistance.I'm running Oracle 7.3 on NT 4.0.
The corresponding error message reads:
ORA-01019 unable to allocate memory in the user side
Cause: The user side memory allocator returned an error.
Action: Increase the size of the process heap or switch to the old set of calls.
How would I do any of the above ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What are your clients? Windows 95/NT/DOS/3.1?? How much RAM do they have? I think that heap space is part of your available RAM memory left over after any background tasks/processes are loaded (dynamic virus programs, etc).
