We are running Oracle 8.0.4 on 0S/390. We have had three occurances in which the tasks within our Oracle instance abend although the main task stays up. This has always happened when we are running an import during the day when there is other activity going on with in Oracle. It does not happen when the import is the only thing running. Anybody have any ideas as to what is going on.

Hi Michael
Do you have the latest patches installed on top of 8.0.4.
We haven't had such problems on our 8.0.4.x databases. Does all your tasks including the Oracle background processes abend within the MPM ? Please send me the alert log ?
