Hi,
This is suresh. I have two interesting issues.

1.
when compiling the pll in the command line prompt, it gives a plx with 236 kb of file and
when compiling the pll in the Form bulider, it gives a plx with 244 kb of file.
Also compared the plx files, the contents are different(just wanted to see the difference).

Because of this, if i deploy the plx generated thru command line getting crashed. But works fine if dont thru the form builder.
Can you suggest me anything?

OS:windows 2003.
Forms: 10.1.2.0.2.

Thanks in advance.

Does this PLL have an attached PLL?

Yes. In this pll(common.pll) there are three more other pll's attached in the attached library.

Verify that the attached libraries have been 'attached' using the non-default answer to the question about whether the file address should be retained.

When you attach a library to a form or library you are asked a question concerning "keeping the full path". You need to select the non-default option.

Yes i had selected the non-default option only. But still, the problem is there.

Thanks,
Suresh.

In a new Forms Builder session open the 'lowest' PLL. That is, one that has no attached libraries. DO a Ctrl-Shft-k to do a recompile all. Save the PLL. Close it and reopen it. Verify its size. Do a Ctrl-t generate. What size is the plx? Do the same generate at the command prompt. What is its size now?

Still getting different sizes? Then delete the PLX files and NEVER regenerate them. Just let Forms use the PLL files.
