Hi

I am using Oracle Forms 6i connecting to 10g database.
My OS is Windows Vista Basic Home.
Whenever I try to run a form it gives me the above said error.

I have oracle home in d:\orad2k
I also have another oraclehome for Oracle 10g as
d:\ora10g.

Any ideas please ??

Forms 6i is a desupported Oracle product (which, of course, does not mean that people don't use it worldwide). The last MS Windows version Forms 6i was certified with was XP Professional. As far as I can tell, Forms 6i was never certified to work with MS Windows Vista.

Furthermore, having in mind that Oracle certifies its products with professional versions of MS Windows operating systems, I doubt that your current OS (MS Windows Vista Home) will ever become certified.

A conclusion? It is hard to believe that you'll manage to make it work.

For further information about certified Oracle product + operating system combinations, consult Oracle's Certification Matrices.

Thanks
But I am sure there are still loads of companies still working on Form6i.
Anyways I dont know how and why but now the Forms6i is working fine on Windows Vista Home. Only problem being dunno when that problem could occur again and why...

I'm glad you made it work. Hopefully, it will remain that way. However, there's no guarantee that this will really happen because "not certified" means that ... well, it might work, but it also might not /forum/fa/3314/0/
