Is it normal to import a dump of 40M data into a clean schema for 17 minutes ?

The command we use is

impdp user/password@ORADB DIRECTORY=EXPORTDP DUMPFILE=TEST.DUMP LOGFILE=TEST1.log SCHEMAS=SCHONE REMAP_SCHEMA=SCHONE:SCHTWO EXCLUDE=STATISTICS

No. of tables : 1300

Anyway to tune ?

Investigate your server and instances to know where the bottleneck is.

Do any of the tables have a LONG datatype?

Is the database on the same server? Importing across is network is very slow.

joy_division:
The schema do not have the LONG datatype. The dump file is on the same server.

Michel Cadot:
Any trace/log file that I could check for the bottleneck of the impdp ? I also try to enlarge the sga but it doesn't help.

Besides, how long would it take normally for importing 40M schema with data ?
