Hello,

You might turn me down with this guys but I had a quick look at the posts regarding using tabbed-canvasses already and didn't find a scenario suiting my request...so here goes:

I have a block with a large amount of fields which I chose to scatter over a tabbed canvas. The block relates to a database table counter-part with all the afore-mentioned. I wish to have this tabbed canvas displaying a bunch of buttons that will be common to all tabs without having to copy the same button set on all tabs (since in a tabbed canvas, you have to specify to which tab each element belongs). So is it possible for me to have some content canvas acting as a container for my tabbed canvas where I could put these buttons?

thanks for the reply and...

go for that presidential seat Obama!

regards,
Didz

...Ok sorry for that, I figured it out myself.

for the record, In order to achieve this and provided your tabbed canvas is smaller, all you have to do is:

1] Create a normal Content canvas what points to a given window.

2] Set the above-mentioned canvas as the 'Primary Canvas' of the window (in the windows property palette)

3] Create your tabbed canvas and set its window property to the same window

4] play around with the viewport X/Y coords to position your tabbed canvas on the form (on the canvass's property palette).

5] u're ready to rock'n'roll

In fact it works quite on the same principle as with scrolling canvasses with stacked canvas.

thanks anyway

Didz
