How to resolve the error FRM-40106: No navigable items in block which is thrown during the run time.I checked the block to which it navigates and ensured atleast one item in that is navigable. What could be the problem. Smile

Try to go directly to the navigable item instead of the block, by using go_item.

Do you know which block it is talking about? Did you inadvertently put your 'control' block as the first block?

NO not yet.I am not getting the root cause of it.I verified the datablock and their items. Is the problem is because of using go_block,if so i even verified by changing it to go_item.I think it might be bevause of mapping a wrong parent window to the canvas.Any idea on these.

How many blocks do you have in your form? Which one is first? Have you defined a 'first block' at the form level?

Put 'message;pause;' pairs in your code. Try an 'on-error' trigger at the form level containing a display of the ':system.current_block' system variable.

Are any of the items displayed on a canvas?

How many blocks so you have in your form? Is the block you are referring to the first block or the block specified in the properties at the Form level?

Do NOT start a new thread for an old question. It just pisses off the people trying to answer your question.

You don't respond for a month and then you want 'quick reply'.

Did you try the 'on-error' trigger method? Have you tried running your form in debug? How many blocks do you have in your form?

Hey friend i agree it was been a repeated question in our forum but nothing yielded a correct or apt solution.Coming back to your question i have blocks which is not at form level and also these block are referenced blocks. The items in the block are enabled, visible ...but was actually not mapped to a canvas thats why i mapped to the intended canvas but now the error is not coming but the windos is appearing blank.
I think the root cause of this error is just the itme ashoudl be enabled and visible and mapped to a canvas as well.Let me know your thoughts on this.

That was the purpose of my questions. The first block, either by order or by form property, must have an item that is displayed on a canvas.
