Hi,

Can somebody pls. advise if it's possible to create a program unit on an Oracle Form that can update a PDF ?

I suspect that it is a JAVASCRIPT that can do the job.

I intend to maintain product prices in our Oracle System that can subsequently update the PDF.

Pls. advise - Mave

OK, I understand that a form can be used to maintain prices stored in a database. But, why would you want to update a PDF document? Wouldn't you rather create it when necessary (as a result of a report, for example)? Report is supposed to read data stored in a table and produce a ... well, a report (PDF format would be fine).

I want to create a electronic version of price catalog with pictures etc,etc,.. This can only be done as a PDF format which can be emailed using our e-Marketing software.

With this in mind, is it possible to update a PDF from Oracle Forms ??

Yes - i will design the PDF such a way that it matches with cols. of tables of database.

Like littlefoot said... it would be better if you would create a report and convert that into a PDF.
