How to exact alignment text item and its prompt? [message #350396]

I have created 2 text item, and set their prompt.
on the design view, it looks like center horizontal alignment.
but when it runs, they don't exact alignment, the prompt is lower than its associated text item.

(1) if I let the prompt heighten the prompt a little, then it looks better when it run. Of course, it is not absolute center horizontal alignment.

(2) if i don't set the item's prompt, and add another label on the left side, choose the label and item, and choose "layout-->component-->horizontal alignment-->center".when it runs, it still looks not really horizontal alignment.

Please post the images into your post. Many of us are blocked by our parent organisation from accessing online image sites.

Do you have grid turned on or off? Do you have snap to grid turned on or off?

Is this your first form?

I did follow the link, but the page mostly looks like this:

Not very useful, eh? By the way, there were a few images (Donald Duck, some laptop advertisement, ...), but no form screenshot. I guess I could manage to make my browser display Chinese characters, but in vain - I don't speak Chinese, nor can I read it.

I don't have grid turn on or off,
maybe the problem is the language set,
the image website is in my country.

For each item, in its 'Property Palette', set the various attributes for 'Prompt'. Use the 'Layout Editor' for aligning item but not their prompt.

Remember that you can select more than one item at a time. Therefore, permitting you to set the attribute of more than one item at a time.

David, I have tried your suggestion, but unfortunately it stay the same problem.

when i enlarge the font size, not alignment between the prompt and the text will be easy to see.

Did you tweak Prompt properties? Tested what each of them does and how the form behaves?

LF, watch out for those 'offset' settings. They will trip you up more often than not.

If i set "prompt alignment" property is center, then the horizontal alignment will be better.

In this particular form, I have moved the prompt a little bit away from the item as
a) there was enough place to do that
b) the form was much more pretty /forum/fa/917/0/

This will be the best soloution regarding the allignment whcih you have posted on allignment questions
set the promt property likr this
1)Promt Justification: Start
2)Promt Attachment Top
3)Promt Aallignment Start
After this the label will go to top .Drag that label to the left side and allign it will be properley alligned.
