hello, i'm trying to istall a database server on an ibm machine with 12 gb of ram, after the installation is complete, the server only uses 2 gb of ram , i dont know what's the problem or how to solve it , any help will be appreciated .. thanx

so what you think ?

oracle should use full 12 gb of ram.

show us "SHOW SGA" size?

HI TAJ, TAHNK U 4 REPLYING ,
actually its a problem my senior is facing , & i believe he's testing me , what he said is exactly what i posted earlier & yes, he wants to use the 12 gb ram alltogether, any suggestions?
