Hi folks,

I am a Java developer and I am planning to get an Oracle certification. But I am in a big problem .... I cannot decide which path should I follow like Oracle9i or Oracle10g

Since I am a developer I think its better for me to go for O-9i, which contains SQL,PL/SQL etc which suits my current development domain. But on the other hand if I go for O-10g, there is nothing in that which suits my domain (since mostly it contains the DBA part).

Please correct me (in above) and suggest/guide me for the right certification path.

Thanks in advance.

I'm afraid you got it wrong; Oracle Certification program offers different paths (whether you are a developer, or a DBA, or ...). As Oracle 9i is an old version, I guess you should follow Oracle 10g Certification program and - among numerous possible exams - choose path you are interested in.

Also, if you had read the OraFAQ Forum Guide, you'd find a section which covers certification issues (All about braindumps). It contains useful links so - take a look.
