Hello,

I just did a migration of oracle8i (Sun Solaris) to oracle10g (HP-UX).

The problem is that the roles given in 8i are not reflected in 10g.

e.g: in 8i user x has roles 1, 2, 3
The same user x in 10g has roles 1, 2, 3, 4, 5


The roles are not DB roles (e.g dba, connect, resource, etc) but user defined roles.

There is no role 1, 2, 3 in 8i and no role 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 in 10g.

This is just an example.

i created the tablespaces as in 8i and then did a full import.

What I meant is you have to show us what you did, what are the logfiles and so on.
