Hi:

I would like to pursue Oracle DBA career. I currently work as an Oracle DBA, played with Oracle APP server. I was an Oracle Developed 5 years ago. I am currently managing Deltek Costpoint ERP database similar to Financials. I know the AP, GL, PC, etc modules of Costpoint.

How can I get started? Should I use a VMWARE to setup a virtual DB, APP Server, Load Balancer etc.,

Are there any documentation available to get started on APPS DBA?

Also, I am planning to go to India soon. I have heard that Hyderabad has lots of places to get trained. Can I get it done in a week?

I wanted to learn Oracle and wanted to get a Job in this field.

Which technology will be good (Oracle DBA or Oracle Apps (to get started with))
