I have developer 2000 installed, and i have a server a 8i database installed.
I install 10g form in my pc, a problem occured the sql plus can not connect the database on the server, either sql plus on the developer 2000.
How i can do that i can connect the 8i database? without uninstall the developer 2000.

Did you ever managed to connect to the database?

Does

mean that now you can not connect using the "old" (Developer 2000) SQL*Plus nor "new" 10g SQL*Plus?

Did you run the Net Configuration Assistant?

If the "old" configuration (8i database + Developer 2000) properly worked, did you try to copy TNSNAMES.ORA and SQLNET.ORA from the 8i_home\network\admin directory and copy them into the Developer_10g\network\admin? It *might* help.

How many 'tnsnames.ora' files do you have on your PC? Did you search this forum for 'tnsnames.ora'? Did you see any reference to 'tns_admin'? USE IT!!
