Sir can i Impose parmanent format mask on that item which apear before and after editing.

Suppose Date is in that format mask 01/01/2008 i think that is batter to show samble "/" always in text item.

Format mask enables you to format data as you wish (unless you choose format which is invalid, of course). So, if you wish to use slash character to separate day, month and year, fine with me.

If, on the other hand, you'd like to display "/" in the item so that users wouldn't have to type this character (like this drawing), I wouldn't know how to do that.

Thanx Sir I am not talking about user behaviour, i am just talking about the format mask(not such a drawing) of the text item which appear on item right from the beginning ,not just after enter data.

Then store the date in a character field and store the slashes as well as the numbers.
