Hellow Everybody,
I have a requirement of installing Oracle server and client on the same UNIX box, I have done it before with two different os users say oracle10(for database) and oracle9i(for client).
Is there any possibilty to install oracle database 10g and oracle 9i client under a same OS user?, if Yes
I wonder how to define the two oracle homes under a same profile,as two profiles can't exist for the single user.
Actually, client installation is the application requiremet which we are going to implement soon.
Appreciate if you have any suggestions in this regard.
Thanks in Advance.
Liam.

Thanks a lot I got it.
Do I have not to set the oracle home in .profile, rather on the os prompt in both the times when I am installation Oracle 10g and when I am installing oracle 9i.
But, after both the installations are complete, will there be any complications apart from manually going to the Oracle home rather then typing $ORACLE_HOME to go into the oracle home directory.
Will there be any issues in this sort of setup.
Thanks for your reply.
Liam
