Hi,
I would like to use some functionality in my forms application. I want call some action, that opens default mail client in windows platform and add some attachment to message. I want to do this for my reports. I am exporting reports to PDF files. I am using oracle forms / reports 6.0.8.12.1 version. And I cant use build-in PDF export functionality, because exported PDF files are in old PDF version and I have problem with Czech characters. So I am using my own virtual PDF printer for printing reports. A now I would like to send report as mail attachment. I know that there is this functionality in report preview. When I click button with letter image (showed on screenshot at http://img20.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=00067_screen_122_899lo.JPG) the default mail client is opened in this is created new messages with report (eps) in attachment.
That is what i need. Only open default mail client and add own attachment to message.

I found only one solution for Outlook, but I need open default mail client (for example Mozilla Thunderbird etc.)

Can You help me? Or send some solution how it is solved in report previewer?

Thank you.

I am using PDFCreator 9.5 now. It can read configuration data from INI file. So I am editing this file before printing (change save path, change filename, open document after conversion, add attachment to mail etc..). So I am using PDFCreator features to prepare mail with PDF attachment and open it in default mail client, view document after conversion etc..
You have to use some external PDF conversion software to get PDFs (version 1.3) without any problems (character encoding etc.) from Forms 6i. So using PDFCreator and editing its settings before printing is not so bad solution.

It's a nice solution to me, and PDFCreator 9.5 is under GPL license, so I think it's perfect! Congratulations and thanks for the reply, keep on the good work.
