Import Trouble ORA-00942 [message #328626]

I have been trying to import a .dmp file into my current database. I am able to import only part of the complete .dmp file. I get the error as ORA-00942 Table or view does not exist. I have already executed the catalog.sql file but that also executed with errors.

I ran that script from system/manager.
Please suggest any method to get rid of the ORA-00942, IMP-00003 errors.

Why do you post only an error code & expect a solution?
You KNOW what command you executed & don't know what to do about the error.

We do not even know what generated the error & can not assist.

I've been trying to import a .sql file into my database. Half of the contents are imported and then there is an ORA-00942 error. Table or view does not exist. It is an empty user. I've already executed the catalog.sql script which is needed fr import.

Please tell me a solution to this error.
The command that i gave was
imp scott/tiger file=testplan.dmp full=yes
