In a multi-line textbox user will enter some text which has to be validated. Suppose the string entered is of 100 characters. After validating its found that string from position 40 to 55 is invalid.

Is there a way that only the error string (40-55) can be highlighted, or cursor can be placed at position 40 or change the foreground color for only 40-55 characters.
