Hi,
I have faced one quesition in interview regarding interface program, can any body please give proper answer
The quesition is
While transferring the data from Interface tables to Oracle base tables we will run the standard program in the interface. right. They r asking the question like why we have to run the standard prg. Why dont we develop the custom interface and run the interface.

Oracle integrates its no. of processes with its interface tables where you feed data into these interface tables or even oracle standard processes use these tables to feed data before importing into base tables. So your task is just to feed data into these interface tables which can be exported from your custom applications or from other legacy systems. Then Oracle Standard program is used to import this data from interface tables to base tables. Why we dont write custom program to import data into base tables because we can lose data integrity and you might not get desired results from the system because Oracle Standard Program can call so many internal programmes which might run DML operations on other tables which you might not take care while writing your program. Hope answer the question well.
