Hi, Windows DBA expert,
I have a question about exp combined with WinRAR under WinOS.
Have anyone used windows exp output directly to WinRAR to compress the dump file into zip files? I mean there is no intermediate process.
Would you mind providing the command line too. It is easier under Unix with TAR, but how to make it under WinOS.
Thanks and regards,
Hank

When you install WinRAR, two command-line tools are installed as well: RAR.EXE and UNRAR.EXE. I never tried to set the result of the Export utility to be the input of the (Win)RAR - I've always done it in two steps - first create an export (DMP) file, then compress it. But, you might try.
