Reports

Oracle Reports is a tool for developing reports against data stored in an Oracle Database. Oracle Reports is a powerful tool, but can be difficult to use (reports should be developed by Developers). If end-users require direct reporting facilities, look at Discoverer instead.

Architecture

Oracle Reports consists of two software components:

• Oracle Reports Developer (part of the Oracle Developer Suite)
• Oracle Reports Server (runtime environment - part of the Oracle Application Server).

Output formats

The reports can be delivered directly to a printer or in one of the following formats:

• HTML
• PDF (pixel-perfect reports)
• XML
• RTF
• Microsoft Excel
