It stores is wherever you invoke the exp utility from. In this case, my Windows workstation:

C:\Temp>dir test.dmp
 Volume in drive C has no label.
 Volume Serial Number is 5C2F-466B

 Directory of C:\Temp

25/05/2007  16:00            16,384 test.dmp
               1 File(s)         16,384 bytes
               0 Dir(s)  23,965,483,008 bytes free

C:\Temp>
