Scheduled links for replication jobs

I have an updatable materialised view replication environment with 2 scheduled links - one to push changes from the master to the MV and one to push changes from the MV to the master. Each link is scheduled hourly. Both links were created during the replication set up wizard.

I also have all the MVs as part of a refresh group to pull any changes from the master which is scheduled 2 hourly. the refresh group does not push any changes from the MV back to the master.

The updatable MV site is intended as a passive standby database and changes made to it should not be propagated back to the master site. Therefore I would like to confirm the following:

• Is it possible to disable the scheduled links and just rely on the refresh group job for the replication?
• If so, will all the MV logs, deferred transaction queues, errors etc etc be cleared if I just rely on the refresh group jobs?
• What would be the best way to stop these scheduled links (I don't want to delete them) - marking them as "Not Scheduled" or must they be marked as "Disabled"? (in OEM under Distributed/Advanced Replication/Administration/Schedule Tab)

Have:
* Oracle 9.2.0.5

• Win 2k
• All MVs are force refresh
