People will still have to design and implement databases, but generally you are correct. The short term goal is to catch up to SQL Server in ease of use, which hopefully will happen way before 21g.

If you are relatively young and are looking for a career in database administration, being able to model and design databases, and being able to write PL/SQL will become increasingly important. Received on Sat Nov 05 2005 - 09:46:47 CST
