When Tom Kyte was launching the product in the UK, this question came up. The plan was not to have specific patches (much as Hans suggested). However security patches might be an interesting question (there was no definitive answer on this) since its likely that any exploit that can be executed against XE would provide a large base of machines that could be used to attack paying customers. I'd *hope* this means we end up getting a quarterly update that at least includes the security updates in line with the commercial product.
