Will and should the application that you will be running run on the database server(s) or should it be moved onto a different system?

How stable is the application(s)?

Many people do not allow other applications onto their database servers (varies considerably).

It's conceivable that you will end up with some windows workstations for using products that from oracle run only on windows.

You may/could also end up with some application servers and other database servers.

If this describes a possible scenario for you solution then you may have more flexibility in operating systems and configurations than you realize. Received on Sun Mar 20 2005 - 16:26:24 CST
