Re: redo log on veritas filesystem

How can you make a single SCSI disk 0+1? If you're talking about hardware RAID on multiple disks, then it's moving from Veritas VxVM functions to RAID controller functions, which essentially do the same thing, only VxVM uses those valueable CPU cycles on the server.

Some people would avoid file systems all together and use raw instead (there can still be a volume manager or HD RAID involved)

Veritas file system, w/ qio (they renamed it to something else recently) was (as claimed by Veritas) performing as well as RAW, but I never tested to compare.
