Two points!
- Those that are interested in learning do so. They don't wait for
an employer to pay them to do so. Anyone that doesn't have 10g on
their home computer is making a statement about their thirst for
knowledge and experience.
- There is more than an adequate supply of qualified candidates that
already know 9i and many with some 10g. Why would any employer waste
time with what is effectively a trainee. I mean think about it ... would
you want to explain to someone what happened to server manager or what
an UNDO tablespace is?
An employer's opinion ... for what its worth.
