According to an Oracle engineer, a kernel function is available for doing just what the subject of message: the function is kslpsr which indicates that a post is received. Now why would Oracle add such a function and why it is showing in every Ora 60* dumps?

The answer is simple: it is a function that the log writer uses to override the locking mechanism in Oracle -- go figure!
