I was reminded of those who claim SQL and relational databases are not flexible and powerful enough to provide realistic solutions to data manipulation problems...

You may have failed the ORIGINAL test, but the one suggesting a single SQL WITHOUT tables was passed with flying colours.

Of course, I wanna see a full 10046 of that 9i SQL... :)
