That guy being Tom Kyte? My understanding is that NetApp is running asktom.oracle.com and most of Oracle Corporation itself.

Benchmark at Oracle on an 18 hour job showed a difference of 12 minutes against EMC.

Haven't seen this once with the current breed of NetApp hardware. My guess is the experience was from some years back.
