The usual challenge with learning Oracle after another environment is the terminology, followed closely by the myriad of small (and not so small) differences.

I've found O'Reilly "Oracle Essentials" to be helpfull in providing a quick transition.

An excellent Linux resource is the White Paper at

http://www.dizwell.com, followed closely by the general information at
http://otn.oracle.com in the Linux section. Werner Puschitz' site at
http://www.puschitz.com is also extremely useful.

Another excellent source is Oracle's own 'Oracle By Example' series (http://otn.oracle.com/obe/start) which provides step-by-step guidance to a lot of tasks. Done for Windows, but someone with your experience should be able to translate quickly.

Oracle Education's Online Library has a lot of mini-courses at http://education.oracle.com that are great. Unlimited access for under USD$300/year should not be much of a deterrent for someone serious about upgrading skill set.

And of course, Oracle provides ALL technical documentation free of charge at http://docs.oracle.com
