Thanks Bricklen for the reply. However, this is the first test toward a DBA certificate - we never covered analytic functions etc. Just beginning SQL, queries, views, etc - nothing having to do with functions.

Well, I did copy the question and maybe I should have written it out to begin with:

Top N analysis requires --- & --- (2)

1 - use of rowid
2 - group by
3 - order by
4 - only an inline view
5 - inline and outer query

My mistake - I should have written the whole thing out.
